On the 31st of October, 2007, the monastery Holy Cross hosted ecumenical meeting on interconfessional problems. Representatives of Orthodox as well as Greek-Catholic Churches participated in the conference. Before starting the meeting, Greek-Catholic episcope being in full communion with Rome welcomed all priests while Mother Mina Badila, superioress of the monastery, asked episcope for his Episcopal blessing followed by hand-kissing. I dared to ask episcope about the intentions of his visit. He told he came to our monastery with good intentions. Some time later I understood the nature of his good intentions. He gave us the possibility to find answers to questions we could not find for years. Everyone understood his good intentions regarded PROCEEDINGS. His Beatitude Sofronie evaluated the guest’s good intentions as nothing but “impudence”. Meeting started by reading of Applications for restitution of real estates (parish houses, churches and so on and forth) formerly “withdrawn” by Orthodox Church from Greek-Catholic Episcopate.
